Skyward’s Program Insights is available to Enterprise customers only and serves as a great way to visualize data from across multiple Skyward organizations. Separated into details about Flights, Operations, Pilots, and Aircraft, each chart provides data that can be refined by time period, as well as more granular details that can be viewed.
In order to access Program Insights you must be an Organization Admin in Skyward, and to see multiple organizations worth of data, you must be in an organization at the top-level of your hierarchy. Your organization hierarchy can be confirmed by selecting your name in the upper right-hand corner -> Settings -> Affiliated Organizations.
In this example, an admin in Sunrise Enterprises would see all data for itself, as well as the organizations that fall underneath it (East, Central, and West), whereas if they were in one of those organizations, they’d only see the data for that singular organization, instead of all affiliated organizations.
Now that all those finer details are out of the way, let’s review the makeup of Program Insights. To access, select the Insights menu item from the top menu.
Once Insights is selected, you’ll be presented with the data for each of the organizations that falls in the hierarchy you have open, as discussed above.
The Flights detail is the first set of data points that you’ll see, with flights shown for each of your Skyward organizations:
Hovering over the data will reveal the exact numbers for each organization, and the date filter at the top-right can be used in order to refine to a specific time period. Please note that this date range selector automatically refines the period for all charts available on the page.
Below the Flights chart is an Operations chart. Similar to Flights, it’ll show the total number of operations over the course of a given time period for each organization.
Next in the list is the Pilot Certification report, which will give you a detailed breakdown of the certification status for each person with a Pilot profile within each organization.
Please note that this only takes into account users that have a Pilot role in Skyward. This would include if they had a pilot role in addition to Organization Admin, VO, etc...
Lastly, the Aircraft reporting will show you some basic statistics relative to the overall health of your fleet with regard to airworthiness. You can see a per-organization breakdown of airworthy aircraft, as well as the total airworthiness percentage.
We’ll be routinely adding new charts/features to Program Insights, so check back here often for the latest updates. Need more granular reporting? Talk to your Customer Success Manager about Skyward’s API dashboards.
