The Skyward Airspace Intelligence Map displays Class F airspace as either Red or Yellow depending on their impact for RPAS operations.
Restricted Airspace CY(R), Danger Airspace CY(D) are prohibited for RPAS operations unless specifically authorized to do so by the person specified for that purpose in the Designated Airspace Handbook. These areas are shown in Red, and clicking/tapping on the airspace will display CYR or CYD along with their designation number and name.
Advisory Airspace for Military Operations CY(A) allow RPAS operations when they are not active, and are shown in yellow. Clicking/tapping on the airspace will display CYA along with the designation number and name.
Remember: When the Class F airspace is active, RPAS operations aren’t allowed without explicit permission from the proper airspace authority.
Other Advisory Airspace
The Skyward Airspace Intelligence Map displays other Class F Advisory that is not designated for military operations in yellow. Advisory Airspace indicates that there may be concentrations of activity which is potentially hazardous to aircraft such as flight training or hang gliding.
Click or Tap the airspace to get the name (e.g., CYD737), then find the area in the Transport Canada Designated Airspace Handbook (DAH) for detailed information.
